Bula everyone

We are back on the streets today after closing down for major decontamination on Saturday and yesterday in the wake of a COVID-19 scare.

The big one obviously for many people would be our impressive foray at the Oceania 7s in Townsville Australia.

That game against the New Zealand All Blacks 7 tonight was good to watch eh. The fact that we won the event would have been welcomed by fans.

In the face of that, our numbers continue to rise in as far as our COVID-19 cases are concerned.

In the face of that sits our commitment to fight it.

The permanent secretary for Health and Medical Services Dr James Fong keeps reminding us about the war we must fight against the virus.

There are many issues that will be raised including whether tough decisions are been made to address the rise in number of new cases daily.

The powers that be must make tough calls that are good for us all.

Our challenge is to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.

Here are some headlines in The Fiji Times’ edition for Monday, June 28.
