The National 7s side won both their games yesterday keeping their dream alive of winning the 2021 PacificAus Sports Oceania 7s.
In its first game Fiji beat New Zealand 21-19 and Australia in its second 19-7.
Winning the tournament would lay a good platform come the Olympics.
Meli Derenalagi in an interview after Day 2 of the competition thanked the boys for the gallant effort.
He said there were still aspects of the game which they need to improve on.
“The boys are taking it seriously so that thay we can learn from the weaknesses in the past few games.”
In other results, Fijiana won their game against the Oceania side 21-12.
