Double win – Suva Grammar does it again in Suva Zone Two

SUVA Grammar School has again retained their title as the Coca-Cola Games Suva Zone Two champion.

In the girls’ division they scooped 23 gold, 25 silver and 18 bronze medals while the boys took home 27 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals.

Team captain Amena Yanuyanutawa said hats off to the athletes, they were the ones that gave their time, went through the pain to win those gold medals.

“We thank the Almighty God for giving us the strength to conquer the two days,” he said.

“We thank our supporters, especially our parents and the former students who have been the backbone of the school.”

The Nasese boys scooped the junior boys, the intermediate boys and the senior boys titles. while the girls took the sub-junior and the junior girls titles.

Coming second in the girls’ division were the athletes from Waimanu Rd with 18 gold, 12 silver and 18 bronze medals and second in the boys’ division was the Marist Brothers High School’s Red Fire team from Flagstaff with 23 gold, 27 silver and 17 bronze medals.

The Suva Zone One meet will be held on March 17 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
