A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji group.
The weatherman has reported a situation of an active trough of low pressure that remains slow moving over the group, and associated cloud and rain will affect the country.
The forecast for the Fiji group, expect occasional rain, heavy at times, and few thunderstorms over most places.
The national weather forecasting centre in Nadi has also noted significant rainfall in the past 24 hours.
It reported that Lautoka received 46.0mm rainfall, Momi – 39.0mm and Qawa 35.5mm.
It has reiterated that during persistent localised heavy falls, there is the risk of flash flooding of low-lying and flood-prone areas, small rivers, creeks and roads; and poor visibility on roads for motorists and at sea for mariners.
The next special weather bulletin on heavy rain will be issued by the weather office after midday.
