Robust centre Semi Radradra has been excluded from the 23-member Flying Fijians match day squad to take on France in the Autumn Nations Cup on Monday.
Fiji Rugby Union, not releasing the name, has confirmed that a player has tested positive for the virus and is awaiting second test results.
“As part of the COVID 19 tournament protocols, the player has been isolated and is being monitored by our medical team” Fiji Rugby CEO John O’Connor confirmed this morning.
Meanwhile, nine players will earn their first cap for the Flying Fijians.
Number eight Johnny Dyer and flankers Mesulame Kunavula and Kitione Kamikamica have been named in the starting line-up while Tevita Ikanivere, Haereiti Hatet, Samuela Tawake, Temo Manayavanua, Manueli Ratuniyarawa and Simione Kuruvoli have been named on the bench.
Levani Botia will captain the team from outside center.
Fiji takes on France at 3.15am on Monday.
