Weather watch: Trough of low pressure to affect country from tomorrow

A weak trough of low pressure with cloud and showers is expected to approach the country from the west and affect the country from later tomorrow.

This is according to the the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning.

The bulletin says the forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.

Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms expected in the afternoon or evening.

For mariners expect moderate to fresh easterly winds, gusty at times with rough seas.

The outlook for Friday, cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and the interior of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, cloudy with showers especially in the afternoon or evening and isolated thunderstorms.
