Supervisor of Elections, Mohammed Saneem maintains that his statements are true even though it has been dismissed by National Federation Party (NFP) leader Prof Biman Prasad as mere allegation.
Replying to Prof Prasad’s responses to his statements at the weekend regarding the discrepancies in the list of its annual audited accounts, Mr Saneem said Prof Prasad had not disputed that the NFP spent only $2154 for cyclone relief from a fund that had accumulated $22,736.95.
“Any other expenses or disclosures that the party may have withheld from the Registrar are irrelevant to the handling of this fund,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prof Prasad insisted Mr Saneem had misquoted information the NFP had given him in response to his queries.
“If he has misunderstood what we told him, he should ask us for clarification,” Prof Prasad said.
