A shock contender has emerged to secure a fight against Australian boxing sensation Tim Tszyu and the Kiwi fighter says it’s the chance of a lifetime he’s been craving since he started boxing at 17.
After 22 pro fights with just one defeat, Bowyn Morgan, 31, has been desperate to earn a super fight with a massive name and in this part of the world, they don’t come any bigger than Tszyu.
Unbeaten in 16 pro fights, Tszyu – the son of boxing legend and Hall of Famer Kostya Tszyu – is quickly becoming one of the biggest stars in Australian sport, packing out stadiums on his way to becoming a pay-per-view star.
Terms are agreed for a super welterweight clash between Tszyu and Morgan which Stuff understands will take place in Australia before the end of the year.
