Nadroga surges ahead in Skipper Cup

The BLK Nadroga rugby team is getting into the rythm of the Skipper Cup competition after they edged Lautoka 10-8 on Saturday to lead the unofficial points table after the seventh round.

Nadroga has 25 points as they lead the table after the first seven rounds.

Skipper Cup champions Ram Sami Suva settles at second place with 23 points after they thrashed Namosi on Saturday.

Naitasiri moves to third place with 22 points while Namosi earns 22 points as well via points difference.

Lautoka remains at the fifth spot with 14 points and Nadi at the sixth place with 12 points.

Tailevu drew against Nadi to secure the seventh place with nine points while Yasawa at the bottom of the table with seven points.

Meanwhile after round seven Naitasiri defeated Yasawa 26-17, Nadroga edged Lautoka 10-8, Suva thrashed Namosi 37-12 and Tailevu drew against Nadi 13-13.

In the next round Suva will host Nadroga, Lautoka hosts Naitasiri, Nadi takes on Yasawa at Prince Charles Park and Tailevu faces Namosi at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
