Fijian President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote and First Lady Sarote Konrote have held a virtual meeting with the Governor-General of Australia, David Hurley and Mrs Hurley.
A statement by the Australian High Commission stated that both heads of states spoke about the strong partnership between Australia and Fiji and cooperation in responding to STC Harold and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley also thanked the Fijian people for their prayers and messages of encouragement during Australia’s bushfire crisis,” the high commission stated.
