COVID-19: FNPF pays out $18.19m in assistance

The Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) has to date paid out a total of $18.19million in assistance to members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

FNPF chief executive officer Jaoji Koroi confirmed that FNPF contributions paid out totalled $15.8m with Government contributions amounting to $2.39m.

“A total of 52,083 applications have been received of which 25,320 applications have been paid out,” Mr Koroi said.

At present, 16,313 applications are still being processed with 2848 applications being queried for incorrect documentation and other factors.
