Fijian Police charged and produced in the Ba Magistrates Court on Tuesday a 38-year-old Bangladeshi national for the alleged murder of two of his business partners.
The deceased persons are also from Bangladesh.
Mohammed Masum appeared before magistrate Samuela Qica and was remanded in custody.
The matter has been transferred to the High Court in Lautoka and the case will be called again on May 1.
Mr Masum is alleged to have murdered flatmates Muhammed Nazrul Islam Khandakar, 36, and Rohan Khondokar Bapari, 27, in Rarawai, Ba.
Police arrested Mr Masum after Mr Bapari was found last Saturday, stuffed inside a drum at their house.
The body of Mr Khondokar was found buried in a cane field the following day.
