Company unveils new line up of vehicles

IT was a double celebration for Vision Group as it launched its new Chevrolet franchise and commissioned its new showroom at Vatuwaqa under Vision Motors Limited in Fiji.

And no one would ever imagine that the US-branded car will hit the Fijian market until it was showcased to the public on Thursday night.

Vision Group CEO PL Munasinghe said there was no need to talk about the Chevrolet vehicle line up, as he preferred to let the vehicles themselves do the talking.

The new general motor Chevrolet vehicle line up, comprising the Trailblazer (seven seater SUV), Captiva (standard SUV) Cruise (Sedan), Sonic (Sedan) and Colorado (Pickup), is set to take the market by storm, with its sleek and distinctive styling.

Vision Motors has also secured other key vehicle franchises.

“Vision Motors are the official distributors for Sino trucks.

“These trucks and dump trucks are robust and durable and have established a dominant market presence in Fiji.

“Dong Feng is the largest truck manufacturer in China and the third largest in the world.

“These ranges of trucks are truly evolving at a rapid pace and will be a force to reckon with in the near future.”

He said the Maxus vans, with the trademark high roof, was a joint venture between Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation and General Motors and traces its lineage to the British commercial vehicle manufacturer the LDV Group.

He adds Vision Motors also represent the French car manufacturer Peugeot, with its range of SUV’s and sedans and dominant in markets all over the world.

Vision Motors general manager Ajay Lal said the prices ranged from $45,000 to $113,000.
