A clean sweep for Suva Grammar School as they were crowned the Coca-Cola Suva Zone Two meet overall champions taking both the boys and girls division at the ANZ Stadium in Suva yesterday.

Meet manager Biu Colati commended the efforts of medalling schools saying they would be a force to reckon with come the Coca-Cola Games later this year.

“The results across the board show the competitiveness within the zone and no doubt it will show in the national games,” Colati said.

“With the results and records broken, we are indeed gearing for an exciting finish at the Coca-Cola Games.”

In the boys division, SGS finished top with 23 gold, 25 silver and 11 bronze medals.

MBHS finished second with 20 gold, 19 silver and 24 bronze medals, and Lomary Secondary came in third place with 3 gold medals and 7 bronze medals.

In the girls division, SGS finished first with 23 gold, 14 silver and 15 bronze medals.

St Joseph’s Secondary School came in a tight second with 21 gold, 21 silver and 10 bronze medals.

Lomary Secondary School settled for third place overall with six gold medals, three silver medals and seven bronze medals.
