Levuka homestay rated as best bargain in Fiji

A HOMESTAY accommodation in Levuka has been acknowledged as the number one bargain hotel in Fiji by the prestigious travel website, TripAdvisor.

And according to Levuka Homestay owner, John Milesi, the Old Capital has always been known as a town of many firsts in Fiji.

“The last ‘first’ we celebrated here was in June last year when Levuka was granted world heritage status — the first world heritage listed place in Fiji,” Mr Milesi said.

“This could not have been achieved without the wonderful, dedicated people who work with us as well as the great people of Levuka and Ovalau, who show the true spirit of Fijian hospitality to all who visit here.

“Our home is a new concept in accommodation for Levuka. The construction of your home-away-from-home has been quite a feat but the finished product has been worth it.”

John and Marilyn Milesi arrived in Fiji in 1984 and have been travelling back and forth from Perth in Western Australia every year since.

In 1999, they decided to settle in Fiji and built their homestay accommodation getaway in the heart of Levuka.
