AFTER an eleven-year lapse the Fiji Senior Golf Association (FSGA) reclaimed the Fiji Gas Roger Probert Trophy at the Fiji Golf Club yesterday in Suva.
“We were really excited about getting the win today but most of all that we could celebrate this great man Roger Probert,” said FSGA president Vijay Madhavan.
The late Roger Probert, with a lineage synonymous with representing Fiji on the sporting stage, among his many feats was the president of the Fiji Golf Club from 1985 to 1995.
A record 48 starters took part in yesterday’s event.
The Fiji Senior Golf Association took out the top prize with 385 points beating the Fiji Golf Club on 347 points.
