ABOUT 13000 teachers will start receiving electronic copies of their contracts from this month.

This is the first time the Ministry of Education will send out e-copies which the Permanent Secretary, Alison Burchell describes as being an “environmentally friendly solution”.

The contracts will be uploaded on each teacher’s FEMIS account.

“A move to electronic contracts will not only provide Ministry employees improved service delivery, but is also represents and environmentally friendly solution by reducing the number of copies printed, “said Ms Burchell in a circular to all staff.

All existing and new staff will be sent e-copies of their contracts.

“Employees will be able to download their contact, sign it and upload their signed copy all via FEMIS.”

Teachers will also receive electronic copies of transfer and appointment
