A TROUGH of low pressure remains slow moving over the northern parts.
The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this afternoon says the trough is accompanied by associated cloud and showers which is affecting the northern parts of the country.
The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group expect cloudy with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls expected over Vanua Levu.
Cloudy periods with occasional showers and isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms and heavy falls likely for the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
For mariners expect moderate to fresh southeast winds, gusty at times with moderate to rough seas.
As for the outlook for Sunday, occasional showers and few thunderstorms with heavy falls expected over Vanua Levu.
Cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands.
Elsewhere, fine apart from possible afternoon or evening showers.
