Nausori Highlands murder suspect remanded

THE person of interest in the Nausori Highlands deaths case appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court this afternoon.

Muhammad Raheesh Isoof appeared before Magistrate Nirusha Kannangara charged with five counts of murder and one of attempted murder.

Counsel for the accused Iqbal Khan asked for bail but this was refused by Magistrate Kannangara after strong arguments by prosecuting officer Inspector Parmesh Chand.

Mr Isoof has been remanded to reappear in the Lautoka High Court on September 25.
