THE Ba Provincial Freebird Institute today celebrated its Under 19 team’s triumph at the Coke Zero Deans finals last month.
This was the first time for the school to win the prestigious secondary school’s rugby premier finals.
The event was attended by elders from the Vanua o Ba, parents, and old scholars and students.
Team coach Timoci Duve says this is a significant moment for them because they are proud to have won the U19 grade on behalf of all the schools in the Western Division.
“This celebration means a lot to us and to the people of Ba because this is a provincial school and it is also the first time for us to win in the Dean’s competition category,” Duve said.
