RATU Kadavulevu School under-19 team beat Lelean Memorial School yesterday to secure a spot in the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Eastern Zone finals next week.

RKS led 22-3 after the first half.

In the second half, the boys from Davuilevu regrouped and fought back to score a try from Veresa Sauqaqa to trail 8-22.

A yellow card was given to RKS flanker Lawrence Rayawa for a dangerous tackle.

That resulted in another unconverted try to LMS prop Aporosa Sisiwa.

But it was too late when the final whistle ended the game at 22-13.

RKS coach Jone Vosataki said discipline was the main issue, which was disappointing.

“We planned this work to go through our game structures. Discipline is an important component in winning a game, so we are trying very hard to maintain discipline,” Vosataki said.

“It is disappointing to have two yellow cards and hopefully, we improve on our weaknesses from next week and onwards.”
