Water situation: Greater Suva CBD area on alert

Listen to this article:

PEOPLE residing in and around Suva’s capital business district (CBD) will experience low water supply from tonight.

A statement from the Water Authority of Fiji stated the disruption period would allow for urgent repairs to be carried out in certain parts in Suva.

“The interruption in supply is to allow WAF crew members to carry out urgent repairs to a defective 150mm valve and fire hydrant along Marion and Knolly Street,” the authority said.

Customers in affected areas are advised to store and use water wisely for their immediate needs during this temporary period.

Water supply is expected to be gradually normalised by 6am Sunday morning (July 14, 2019).
