A 45-YEAR-OLD South African national drowned in Mamanuca waters last month.
This was confirmed by police yesterday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the construction engineer was diving when he allegedly drowned.
Ms Naisoro said the man was found lying on a sea bed by an Australian national who was also diving with the victim.
She said a post mortem examination confirmed that the tourist drowned.
