National football players suspended

TWO players from Ba and one from Lautoka have been suspended for not turning up for national duties.

The players failed to turn up for national camp earlier this month.

Fiji Football association acting CEO Amitesh Pal has confirmed the players were suspended last week.

The players are Ba’s Narendra Rao Junior and Ilimo Tamajese with Lautoka’s Kolinio Sivoki.

Pal said the three did not give valid reasons for not turning up.

“We have suspended the three players. They have been notified last week and Ba players missed their matches against Tavua. They will have to present themselves before the Disciplinary Committee next month,” he said.

Twenty-six players are in camp preparing for international friendlies against Tahiti and Vanuatu next month.
