GOUNDAR Shipping Services (GSS) welcomed a new vessel into their GSS fleet today – the Lomaiviti Princess VII.
The vessel, which was brought in from Japan, is expected to service the Lau route that the Lomaiviti Princess II used to service in the past.
GSS managing director George Goundar said regular travelers to Lau often raised their concern about the services provided to them in the province.
“Those traveling to Lau have been waiting for a long time for a new vessel and they have been using Lomaiviti Princess II,” Mr Goundar said.
“We have heard their concerns about the facilities not being great, which is why we have brought in this vessel and we hope passengers will use this vessel wisely.”
The vessel has the capacity to carry 500 passengers.
