THE Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team heightened their speed and defence in the second half to win the second Cup quarter-final match against Argentina 29-24.

Argentina wasted no time when it pressed two tries and succeeded a conversion in the first three minutes of the match, and sealed their half time lead with another try.

Fiji begun its comeback through captain Paula Dranisinukula who pressed two consecutive tries, one converted, by half time.

The defending champs wasted no time in the second half with a show of their flair in defence and delivery, resulting in Aminiasi Tuimaba, Ratu Meli Derenalagi and Terio Tamani scoring a try each, respectively, and one successful conversion.

USA had defeated South Africa in the first cup quarter-final.

Samoa is now playing England in the third cup quarters, followed by New Zealand and France to play in the last cup quarter-final match.
