SECURITY consultant and former senior military officer Sakiusa Raivoce has been appointed by Fijian Holdings Limited as the chairman for South Sea Cruises Pte Ltd (SSCL).
The appointed was announced yesterday via a market announcement from the South Pacific Stock Exchange.
Prior to this, Mr Raivoce was the chairman of FHL’s subsidiaries Basic Industries Pte Ltd and FHL Properties Pte Ltd.
Mr Raivoce was elected to the FHL board in 2013 as a director representing Class ‘A’ shareholders and was re-elected in 2017.
According to new Articles of Association adopted last year, Class A and B were reclassified as ordinary shares.
South Sea Cruises is the country’s leading maritime operator offering a range of day cruises and resort connections; and owns Malamala Beach Club, South Sea Island, Blue Lagoon Cruises, Awesome Adventure and Vinaka Fiji.
FHL also announced the appointment of Gurmindar Singh on the SSCL board as an independent director. Ms Singh is the principal at Levy and Grants Division at the Fiji National University.
The board members of SSCL are Mr Raivoce, Nouzab Fareed, Roger Dold, Peter Duncan, Dixon Seeto, Ms Singh and Arun Narsey.
