MOST complaints received by the Land Transport Authority aren’t viable but aimed to put its officers in trouble.

This was revealed by LTA’s general manager legal Navilesh Chand while making submissions on the code of conduct bill in Parliament this morning.

“Sometimes when people violate traffic offences on the road they will try to pay our officers and at the end of the day they will report our officers again to save themselves,” he said.

He made submissions before the Standing Committee on Justice, Law and Human Rights.
