AS Amalgamated Telecom Holdings Ltd (ATH) continues to expand its presence and reach in the Pacific region, its profits are also rising.

The company attributed the success of the company to the satisfactory performance in its major companies in the group.

It said after regional acquisition in March 2017, this period recorded the full third quarter results and performance of ATH new subsidiary, Telecom Vanuatu Ltd.

The group yesterday announced that its group companies had recorded an interim and unaudited consolidated net profit after tax and minority interest and other comprehensive income of $47.84 million for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017.

An announcement made through the South Pacific Stock Exchange yesterday said the $47.84m represented 16.5 per cent growth over the consolidated net profit after tax and minority interest of $41.05m recorded for the same period last year.

Meanwhile sales revenue for the group recorded a significant increase by 21 per cent to $363.76m. The main drives are data network and internet revenue, access fees and call revenues.
