Update: 1:54PM A REVIEW is currently being undertaken at the University of Fiji, School of Law (SoL) to support the SoL so that it can move forward and consolidate its coherent and challenging legal programme.
The review is currently
being undertaken by the Dean of the School of Law of the University of Waikato,
Associate Professor Wayne Rumbles who said he
is here to listen to the experiences of the staff and students and the challenges
UniFiji has and to put them into perspective and move the University forward so
that it builds up its international reputation.
He said UniFiji School
of Law is taking the right approach to teach law students face-to-face.
“You really
cannot learn law by distance because law is about communication understanding
people and advocating their stories people to the court to advocate for their
position,” he said.
He also
commended the staff and students of the University on their enthusiasm and
passion.
