THE Vodafone rugby league inter-zone championship is producing quality players who can one day wear the Vodafone Fiji Bati jersey.
Chief executive officer, Timoci Naleba said the level of competition was getting intense every day.
“We need to be very consistent and get the best players out of these competition to be part of our Fiji Bati team and we also need to give the best quality of competition that our stakeholders deserve because they are the ones that help run the this institution,” Naleba said.
“In terms of intensity we need to produce the quality of the game itself because we have best players who are playing at that level.
“Nadi Aviators made up of club championship which is Sabeto Roosters and Ravoravo Rabbitohs shows the kind of performance they have in their own competition sending in the best players to compete in the championship and with that undefeated performance they are on top of the points table.
“Introducing the zone competition ha its result showing consistency in the club level and when you play in the premier level you performance keeps improving.
“There is a lot of discipline in rugby league because of the intensity of the games that they play.”
Naleba said they are trying to lift the standard of the game and give the best game to the spectators.
“With the last round of zone competition it is going to be a tough game between Nadi, Suva, Nasinu and Lautoka so we’re urging supporters to come in numbers and support their teams.”
