FRANCE based winger Josua Tuisova and his sweetheart Tarusila Voliwa have officially become a couple after their court marriage at the Births Deaths and Marriages Registry in Lautoka yesterday.
They kept a low profile requesting no media coverage on the special occassion.
Some family members attended the event at the registry’s office at the Rajendra Prasad Foodtown Plaza in the Sugar City. Voliwa comes from Naviti Island in the Yasawa Group.
Tuisova, along with Peceli Yato and Levani Botia, both of whom also ply their trade in France, have been named in the squad by Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee for the upcoming Tests against Italy and Scotland.
Tuisova is expected to join the squad this morning.
A traditional Fijian wedding ceremony for the couple is planned for next year. The Olympic 7s gold medalist started his career with the Tokatoka Westfield Barbarians, now known as the Tokatoka Westfield Dragons.
The 23-year-old player made his national debut at the 2013 Wellington 7s and then signed up with French Top14 club Toulon in the same year.
Toulon signed a new deal with the Votua native in 2015 extending his contract to 2019.
