TEN schools in the province of Ra have reopened this year after they were destroyed by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston back in 2016.
Students of Madhuvani Sangam Primary School in Ra were relocated two years ago after Severe TC Winston destroyed all its buildings.
The school was almost closed because of the extent of damage, however, timely assistance from the Australian government-funded Access to Quality Education Program (AQEP) helped keep the school open.
The school was one of 10 that reopened at a special event yesterday.
