BOXER Joseph Kwadjo defeated Vanuatu’s Jacobus Kali on TKO during the Best Boxing Promotion held at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park last night.
Kwadjo’s powerful punches were too hard for Kali to contain that forced him to retire at the end of the third round.
The win has boosted Kwadjo’s career after recovering from a road accident that prevented him from fighting two years ago.
Kwadjo said he wanted to continue his career in the ring and was looking forward to another fight this year.
He last fought in 2016 and lost to Nikolas Charalampous of New Zealand.
Meanwhile, in other results, Vanuatu’s Fred Nasep won on points on Krishna Mudalliar, while Fiji Boxing wonder boy Siliveni Nawai won by TKO over Ulaiasi Qalomai.
Krishneel Mudaliar also lost on points to Vanuatu’s Winsing Warawara.
Sigatoka Valley Tiger Abhay Chand won on points over Vanuatu’s Jean Loius while Sachin Mudaliar also defeated Vanuatu’s Remy Amo on points.
