This passenger who hired my cab asked if I could issue him a receipt for the distance travelled.
He said the reason was that he would claim the money from his company as it was a company run.
Upon arriving at the designated destination, while writing down the fare value, this smarty pants told me to put an extra $20 on the receipt.
Well, I told him sorry, this was not possible in my cab and I’m only going to put down the taxi meter value.
I believe the passenger was corrupt as he was going to claim extra money from his company which he wasn’t entitled to.
When I asked the passenger how about you put your contact details in the receipt and show me your work ID, the passenger was shocked and lost for words.
I reckon companies that allow taxi petty cash should familiarise themselves with common places their workers are travelling in regards to taxi fares and distance.
