Please add another sign to our road signs, “Get off your mobile phone!”
While it is common to see people speaking on their mobile phones, I have seen people on Facebook while driving.
And I have also seen people texting while driving.
And one time, I was in a bus going to Nadi from Lautoka when the driver’s phone rang, I heard him say “Ha boss”, and talked for a while.
Shall I presume that his supervisor or the bus owner had called him knowing very well that he would be driving?
I don’t really know who called but the bus owner must stress that drivers must not answer the phone while driving.
And to enforce this the company could put up a sign in the bus that says, “If you see the driver on the phone while the bus is moving, call this number …… .”
