Update: 2:59PM LAUTOKA City was a sea of blue this afternoon as the Lautoka Football Association held a march to mark the team’s 2016 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants victory.
The Singhs Rentals sponsored side defeated Labasa 2-0 in the final at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori last Sunday, lifting the title after a lapse of 31 years.
Hundreds of fans line up the streets and many joined the march through the city to celebrate with the players taking photographs, selfies and autographs.
The players and their family members will be treated to a private dinner function at the Lautoka Club this evening where the prize money, bonuses and giveaways will be handed out.
The players are expected to share more than $30,000.
Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel is the chief guest for the function.
