Thrills at Big Bula Waterpark

AFTER 18 months of hard work, the public will finally get to experience the thrill of riding down enormous water slides from a height of 50 metres when the Big Bula Waterpark finally opens its new extension this Sunday.

Big Bula Waterpark and Bula Bus general manager Trevor Fox said they were pleased and excited about the new attraction.

“The project has certainly grown in scope since its conception as new ideas and lessons learned have added to the feature,” he said.

“We have had many labourers and contractors working side by side to piece everything together to complete the massive project.

“The new addition to Big Bula Waterpark offers a full day of fun for persons of all ages.

“We have added a licensed cafe for lunches and refreshments.”

The combined length of all the new slides is over 420 metres.

“This gives plenty of ‘slide time’ for more fun with flow from a 50 foot high platform into a custom-built pool with adjoining children’s splash pool.

“Height restrictions will apply on some slides.

“However, there is something for all ages.”

A soft opening will be held this Sunday where children from Cure Kids Fiji will be hosted, after which the Prime Minister is expected to be invited for the official opening later.

The price ranges for the waterpark are from $39 for children under 5 years old up to $89 for adults.

There are also family packages as well as a 30 per cent local discount with valid ID.
