Repent, devil worshippers told

MACUATA division Methodist church head Reverend Waisale Moiere yesterday called on devil worshippers to stop their work and repent.

In closing the month-long fasting at a church service at Niurua Village, Rev Moiere boldly commanded in the name of Jesus for villagers to stop worshipping Degei, Dakuwaqa, Daucina and other gods.

“A lot of iTaukei villages around the country face the curse of their forefathers when they worshipped other gods or demons,” he said.

“One of the consequences they face is high school drop-outs among the children and that is happening right here in Raviravi and Niurua. For those who like to spill grog and do witchcraft, I told them to stop and turn back to God and enough of worshipping false gods because it only brings problems.”

Rev Moiere said it was about paving a new way forward for the villagers in Raviravi.

“There is no other way except through Jesus and we need to act on it so our children can fully live the life they were born to. I have been doing this mission of breaking bondages and curses in many villages around the country.

“It’s sad to see people struggle but repenting of their ways and turning to God is just the way forward.”
