ETONIA Rokotuisawa was the star for Naitasiri earning all of the team’s points when they defeated Namosi 12-10 in the Skipper Cup last Saturday at Thomson Park, Navua.
Naitasiri ended Namosi’s winning streak after four rounds.
Naitasiri coach Joji Rinakama said the team could have done better despite the win.
“We could have scored a few tries, but some of the decision making on the field did not work to our advantage,” Rinakama said.
Rokotuisawa slotted two penalties in the first spell for Namosi to lead 6-5 after a try from the hosts to Aliposo Rauto before half-time. Rokotuisawa kicked another two penalties to push Naitasiri further before Namosi fought back with a try to Petero Suniika minutes to the end.
Namosi coach Maxwell Hughes said they made many mistakes.
