HFC Bank’s general manager human resources and marketing Rosie Fong picked up the award for the 2016 Women in Business Awards Employer of Choice at the Grand Pacific Hotel last week.
Ms Fong was accompanied by two of her colleagues to the function.
She said in 2006 there were just three women in leadership roles at the bank and now that number had increased to 22.
Thanking the support from their chief executive officer Isikeli Tikoduadua, Ms Fong said many organisations did not put women in executive or leadership positions.
She said Mr Tikoduadua had the faith in women staff members to put them in leadership roles.
She said there were 26 other employers in the Employer of Choice category and they were honoured to have been chosen as the winner of the category.
