Every citizen has the right to express their views.
I wish to express my concern on the removal of the name “Jesus” from the opening prayer of our Parliament’s sittings and functions.
To me it’s very simple: My definition of this act is simple. It means every supporter of this act values economic partnership with other countries more than the directive of our heavenly father.
For this reason I assure all Fijians that our country will continue to experience suffocation and torment until our leaders put the mighty name of Jesus back in its rightful place and again realise that all our efforts and economic planning will come to ruin and debt if we don’t collectively ask for guidance in the name of Jesus Christ because only then will our heavenly father bless our nation.
There are various tracts of text from the Bible which support this.
Philippians 2:9-11 states: “Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Jesus says in John 14:6: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
When you remove the name of Jesus from your prayer, you remove Gods blessings, Gods provision, Gods protection and you remove God himself.
I have heard the argument that if we are Christians then we should support this act as we should all be equal and all religions should be the same. I wish to remind all, that yes, we should all be equal as humans but we’re not supposed to make anything equal to Jesus Christ.
Removal of the mention of our saviours name is an indication that the person enforcing this act and those executing it do not value the name Jesus Christ and think that all can be accomplished by their own knowledge and strength and without the guidance of Jesus.
I am sorry to tell you that you are destined for ruin and failure.
And there are those who try to mislead the faithful.
In 2 Peter 2:1-3 (New Life Version), it states: “But there were false teachers among the people. And there will be false teachers among you also. These people will work in secret ways to bring false teaching to you. They will turn against Christ who bought them with his blood. They bring fast death on themselves.
“Many people will follow their wrong ways. Because of what they do, people will speak bad things against the way of truth.
“They will tell lies and false stories so they can use you to get things for themselves. But God judged them long ago and their death is on the way.”
If you think God is happy about this because we are showing equal rights, please read Exodus 20 on the 10 Commandments God gave Moses. His first command was: “You shall have no other gods before me”
The second is: “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
God clearly states he is a jealous God and wants no other in his place, so expect the worst if this act continues. Where his name is to be mentioned, only his name is to be mentioned. Our nation leaders have denied Jesus Christ and so Jesus Christ will do the same
Matthew 10:33
“But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before my father who is in heaven.”
I pray that this letter will help Fiji ask for forgiveness and turn back to Jesus Christ for guidance. Never has Fiji experienced a cyclone like Severe TC Winston. Fijians are left without food, water, clothing and shelter.
Already our Government is straining its budget and we are not sure what waits ahead if another cyclone should hit us. Let us pray for our Government and let us pray for each other. May God bless our families and may God bless our Fiji.
I pray in no other name but in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ.
