Update: 4:46PM THE Fiji Meteorological Service has issued a tropical disturbance warning.
Director Ravind Kumar said TD14F was located at 13.4s and 168.3e at 10.23am.
He said the system was closer to Vanuatu than to Fiji and was expected to bring heavy rainfall to the country as it drew closer.
“It has a low to moderate chance of developing into a tropical depression and in the first instance it is expected to bring in heavy rain,” he said.
A weather bulletin issued by the Nadi Weather Office says the disturbance could intensify as it moved closer to the Fiji Group.
