Update: 6:11PM THE Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) and Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) joint ID card will now include FNPF member numbers printed on its rear side.

When the joint card was made compulsory and issued in 2013, it only had the tax identification numbers (TIN) eventually replacing TIN letters that were initially issued by the FRCS.

But after several concerns raised by FNPF members, the Fund has confirmed that the joint cards now include FNPF numbers at the back of the card; which are being printed and distributed from all FNPF branches and agencies around the country.

“Our decision to include the FNPF numbers is a direct response to feedback from our members who felt the need to have these included given that the joint cards are a primary source of identification,” said FNPF general manager Member Services Alipate Waqairawai.

The Fund has also advised that a $10 fee is still applicable for those replacing their cards while first time-issued joint cards were free of charge.
