FIJI has for the first time launched the latest Samsung Galaxy handset the same time as the rest of the developed world.
Samsung Electronics now classifies Fiji as a “tier one” country that allows stock to be sent to the country prior to launch so Fiji customers can get their hands on the latest handsets the same time as the rest of the world.
Samsung Electronics Pacific Islands Key Account manager Brad Pritchard says Samsung is proud to be able to share the latest technology with the Fijian people sooner than has been possible previously.
“Fiji is our single largest business in the Pacific Islands and it is a critical market for us,” Mr Pritchard said.
“Samsung Mobile has been active here for about five years and we have seen business growing and growing.”
He says Samsung will continue to expand its presence in the Fijian market.
“We are still working on how we can extend our footprint in the Fijian market to better serve our customers.”
The launch of its S7 looks to be a huge success for the company as it has advanced features that captivate Samsung lovers.
“S5 was a hugely successful device for us and as we evolved to the S6 last year we saw some fundamental changes in the design as we moved away from a plastic design towards a premium metal and glass design
“When we are doing that, we sacrificed a couple of key features that Samsung customers loved and we have taken that feedback on board.
“For S7, we are bringing back the water resistant and have also bought back the expanded memory, an SD card slot, you can put up to 200 GB of expandable storage if you have a lot of applications, video and or images.”
Another key feature, he says, is the camera.
“More and more so now we continue to focus on developing the camera technology.
“Our Dual Pixel camera set the new standard in fast auto focus, no more blurry shots!
“We’ve continued to develop our low light camera capability and now have the ability to take exceptional shots whether it be at a concert or any other dark environments.
“The Samsung Galaxy S7 is Samsung’s most complete phone.”
