TELECOM Fiji Warriors coach Senirusi Seruvakula is confident his team can finish a notch up after the World Rugby Pacific Challenge.
Yesterday was the first day for Seruvakula’s team to have a full team training session but the Nasautoka, Wainibuka man said his players have what it takes to win this tournament.
Last year, the team ended up losing out in the final, and Seruvakula is aiming to see that this is improved this time around.
“Training has been ongoing since Monday but today saw all players in camp and training is on full swing,” Seruvakula said.
“Some players didn’t turn up on Monday but we’re all in today and the players are all focused on the task ahead.”
The former Naitasiri Rugby Union team captain said there were things that needed to be polished and this was something that they had worked on.
“The players have been doing their part and I believe with the vast talent that we have here in the team, achieving our goal is possible,” he said.
Meanwhile, the current 37 member squad will be trimmed to 28 come next Friday before the tournament begins on March 8 and ends on March 21 with the final.
Four teams will tussle for the crown including the Warriors and they are Junior Japan, Samoa A and Tonga A.
