BOXING Commission of Fiji West director Usman Ali Lale stepped out from the ring and took time out in helping the underprivileged in Lautoka and Nadi on Christmas Day.
The former boxing promoter who is a also businessman teamned-up with his management team delivering toys and gifts to the less fortunate.
He said helping other members of the society meant a lot to him and was grateful after the gift presentation.
Lale said since Christmas was about sharing and giving he also wanted to share the spirit of love to the people of Lautoka and Nadi.
“Since I was born in Lautoka my heart is still in Lautoka and helping the underprivileged is our token of thanking the Almighty for blessing our life, family and business,” the boxing judge said.
“We are living temporarily on this earth and we will not take anything with when we die so we thought whatever we have we can share with the less fortunate
“The main concept is to share the spirit of Christmas and light up the lives of the young kids with gifts.”
Lale said the plan was to make the gift an annual event and a chance for the underprivileged to get Christmas present.
“Even though the Bible says that what your left hand gives your right hand should not know but we are doing this so people can look forward to such donation next Christmas.”
“We are also planning to do the same during the New Year.”
“We are doing this for a good cause and we hope that our small gifts will bring delight to the recipients,” he added.
Lale and his management team visited the four Lales Fried Chicken outlets in Lautoka and Nadi for the gift presentation.
