Digicel opens airport store

DIGICEL’S brand new Nadi International Airport outlet will be the first thing that passengers disembarking international flights at the country’s biggest gateway will see, says Digicel CEO Darren McLean.

He made the comment at the opening of the store at the arrivals concourse yesterday.

“We are a very big Pacific telecommunications operator with a strong presence in every airport that we operate in from Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Nauru and now Fiji,” he said.

Airports Fiji Ltd executive chairman Faiz Khan said the opening of Digicel’s outlet was an exciting feature of the Nadi International Airport’s upgrade program.

“Competition is good for business and for the people of Fiji and Digicel was brought in as part of that philosophy and we are truly proud to have them as one of our tenants,” he said.
