AFTER a hectic weeklong of festivities in the country’s largest municipality, one young girl will walk away tonight with the crown to represent Nasinu at the Miss Fiji pageant later in the year.
Eyes are particularly on the municipality after its reigning queen and Miss Fiji Hailey Qaqa represented her home town and scooped the national crown last year.
The 2018 Vodafone Millenium Sinu Festival float procession will begin at midday today from the World Harvest Centre church along Kings Road, Nasinu.
Speaking to Fiji Times Online, pageant coordinator Epeli Tuibeqa said the seven queen contestants vying for the crown had prepared well throughout the week.
The crowning of the festival will begin at 7:30 pm tonight at Valelevu Grounds in Nasinu.
Last night was themed iTaukei Night where the Queen contestants presented their traditionally inspired attires.
