WILD West boxing promoter Abdul Khan rates the upcoming Fiji heavyweight fight between reigning heavyweight champion Petero Qica and challenger Napoleon Taumoepeau as the fight of the century.

He said the much anticipated clash would be the best test for Qica, who has not fought in more than three years.

Khan said both boxers had been training hard and a lot was at stake.

“This is one of the top fights in the history of Fiji and arguably the fight of the century,” he said.

“This will not be a mismatch as both boxers have proven records.

“Fans have been urged to turn out in huge numbers and witness top class fights.”

Khan also thanked acting Army Commander Viliame Naupoto for allowing soldier Qica to defend his title.

He also confirmed signing Sitiveni Nawai and Wahid Khan in the 8×3 main supporting bouts,

“The two boxers have agreed and they are also training hard to be in top shape come December,” he said.

“We will get all the top local boxers in this fight and for the fans to enjoy top class fights.”

Khan was in Sorokoba Village, Ba, yesterday to discuss a possible bout including Junior Naliva.
